Welcome to the Medicinal Chemistry Core
The Medicinal Chemistry Core collaborates with researchers to advance the understanding of disease and accelerate the development of novel therapeutic agents. Led and staffed by industry-trained medicinal chemists with many years of drug discovery experience, the Core serves as a resource for DFCI, DF/HCC and other institutions in the Longwood Medical Area.
We provide expert consultation on all aspects of synthetic and medicinal chemistry, and can assist with the provision of chemical probes to interrogate basic biology, and collaborate to develop new chemical tools and small molecule therapies.
The Core is comprised of experienced medicinal and synthetic chemists with lab space at Dana-Farber’s Harbor Campus. The labs are equipped to perform synthetic organic chemistry on a small to multi-gram scale, with access to NMR at DFCI and HMS.
The Core is part of the DFCI Chemical Biology Program and benefits from working closely with the Structural Biology, NMR Spectroscopy, and Computational Chemistry Cores.
